Our Story
Farm Barn Café is run by a local mother-daughter duo, Jan and Ellie, who have operated the business together since 2015. The family has a deer farming background and nods to this can be seen in and around the café, especially so in the stunning deer antler feature high on the trusses.
Meet Ellie
(the gal behind it all)
This is Ellie – she is the creative mind behind the Farm Barn cafe. Ellie's new take on the place was simple; to serve beautifully delicious, honest, homemade food and coffee using quality affordable, and local ingredients.
You'll see Ellie's bubbly face, and caffeinated mind bustling behind the counter and serving up the best coffee in the district.
Ellie strives to work against the grain and ensure that this is not your typical tourist gift shop. When you walk in, you'll feel right at home and know that you're surrounded by the best-handpicked products and ingredients that New Zealand has to offer.
